Bisley F Class Scores

The individuals from the Canadian F-Restricted team have taken about half of the medals available so far - 4 days into the 7 day event, then onto the final on day 8. Weather has been rough with intermittent rain and gusty winds - your relay position becomes a bit of a lottery on the weather conditions (I was rained on in 3 of the 6 relays in the first 2 days - others more and others less). This morning we had great conditions for the 8:00am relay and 2 members shot a 75.15V at the 300 yd point.

Competition is going to be tough during the F-Class World Championships following the Imperial Meet - should be 6 countries in the F-R field at the FCWC.

Hi Brian, Yeah, I actually meant, what are they using in Bisley, because the target dimensions have not been finalized for the short range target yet.

From the Bisley Bible, the f-class short range target is the TR target with a 3/4 minute v-bull, so at 300 yds:
v-bull - 6 - 2.25
bull - 5 - 3.3
inner - 4 - 5.5
magpie - 3 - 11
outer - 2 - 16.5

Correct ... may change, but I don't know if Bisley is an ICFRA meet or if they are getting rid of old targets, or implementing next year ... my priority is just trying to hit the darn thing in this weather!

Give 'em hell scout!

Tell David Kent that real men don't keep goldfish. That sort of trash talk will throw him off his game :)

Tell him that Jim Pooley told me to tell him that!.

The POW preliminary match results are posted and adding them to the agg shows
our own Dale Rathwell moving up to take 2nd place AGG and what appears to be our Terry Perkins in 4th overall.I haven't added up all the competitors for the agg, but am damn proud of the great showing ALL the DCRA fellows accomplished.
Am looking forward to hearing the tale.

FYI, the Imperial Meeting is being shot with regular GB-NRA targets, with a "half-size" V-bull inserted. They are NOT using the ICFRA short-mid-long range targets.

(All dimensions on the ordinary GB-NRA targets are the same as DCRA TR targets, except that the GB-TR-V-bull is 60% of the diameter of the 5-ring, whereas the DCRA-TR-V-bull is 50% of the diameter of the 5-ring.)

For the F Class World Championships (which started today), the ICFRA Long Range target will be used (with one very minor fidge - they are using a 30" diameter 3-ring instead of the 32" diameter 3-ring that is supposed to be used on the ICFRA LR-F-Class target - a beer to the first person who figures out why this is ;-). So the FCWC will be fired on V=5", Bull(5pts)=10", Inner(4pts)=20", Magpie(3pts)=30", Outer(2pts)=44"(black aiming mark), Hit(1pt)=rest of target (or perhaps 72"x72" square?)

Has anybody figured out where the FCWC results are being posted?
