Bisley.

Head over to the 3W.Milcun.com website, then hit the 'contact us' button. That will get you emailing the CF's Bisley Coach (KeithC and LindaM) for the coming 2008 season. They have the lowdown for this year. If they don't know it, nobody will. ;)

Now this past summer of 2007, the CF Bisley team was training in Pet for most of June IIRC. Then for most of July, they were in England. A rigorous schedule !

Longshot,

Last year the CF Team had a two week training camp in Petawawa in early June, which was immediately followed by heading over to the UK for 4 weeks. It ended up being approx 6 weeks straight.

It was a rigourous schedule. With the days in Pet going til last light on most occasions.

I would think the plan would be pretty well the same for this year. The training camp was held in Pet because the Team was ably administered by 1RCR. The location for this year could be anywere depending on who gets tasked with the team admin.

The Team Selection messages were cut in late Jan last year, so I would expect them to be sent around the same time this year: and it should contain all the finer details of the dates, etc.

If you are who I think you are, then you should be garunteed an invite to the team based on your peformance at CFSAC 2007. The top 16 shooters in the Grand Agg (Stage 1 and 2 combined), will be the ones offered a slot on the CF Combat Shooting Team that goes to Bisley (CENTSAM or whatever they are calling themselves this year). If you can make the time, and your Chain of Command concurs with your participation, then you should be good to go.

Anyway,, for the top 20 guys from CFSAC 2007, your chances of being selected are pretty good,, so start running and working on some strength routines.

Of course, everything is subject to change or cancellation.

Edited to add: I just had a look at the selection criteria. It states that the team will consist of 16 shooters and 4 staff for a max of 20 pers. The shooters are to be the two Queen's medalist, and the next 14 shooters in the Grand Agg. If for any reason one of these guys can't make it, then DAT will select the next highest shooter. This criteria is not cast in stone,, but these are the guidelines that DAT has made known.

Sweet. Thanks guys.I'm well within the top 16 so that should be good.I was just trying to get an idea as to timing because I have things going on from late April to early May and wanted to make sure they didn't cross over.

Bisley Info

Capt Tibbetts is putting out the Op Order for Bisley, should be at LFA HQ's by now.
He intends to field a team of 16 drawn from the top 30 shooters at CFSAC 07.

The CFSAC results are here:

Queens Medal.pdf
He is looking for a team to sponsor the Bisley Team (ie run the admin, etc to get the team over there and back). 4AD, A&SH, PLF are the three units (in order) he will be asking.

That's all I know for now...

Cheers
