Yes, this is possible and has been done in the past.

I have considered and may consider it again for this year as well. Of course it has to be administered through the team admin guys and once the team composition has solidified (perhaps sometime in Apr), then the finer points on all of this will be addressed.

As a double bonus, I miss Work-Ups on the ship, which has been moved so that it's concurrent with the time that I'm set for Bisley. No biggie to me, it'd be my 4th set on this ship...

If you wait for that you will miss out on the shoot. Go to the link (DND) and print off the message and all annex. High lite your postion and send it up the chain. Trust me on this one. It is your best move.

If you can add an internal unit memorandum to it, addressed to your CO through your Chain of Command, that might work.

I didn't go last year because it never left my department. Basically, the CO of the ship never even found out I was possibly elligible for the team.

If you are a member of a shooting team, get your shooting team Captain or coach to forward it to your chain of command for you...this is the route I followed this year, and had good success with.

There is a returns required by date....03 Apr I think it is.

Also, as an aside, the journey down the chain from Ottawa to my unit took a 2 week detour in someone's inbox before it was passed on to the next stop. You cannot afford a 2 week detour at this stage of the game.

Heh, I wonder if base clothing has the new Cadpat stuff for me to pick up yet....or if I'll go in my OD's again? LOL.
