October was a terrific month for myself...... Spent much of it in Saskatchewan with a pal hunting birds.
I took along 4 SxS shotguns , one of which was my trusty 16bore LC Smith. Last summer I made my first ever shotshells, using #5 bismuth shot. I had really missed using my LC on ducks and decided to spend the $ on a loader and bismuth so once again I could do my duck hunting with my pet shotgun.
The loads were provided to me by the kindness of Will Bilozar, who also sold me the components to make this ammo.
I can tell you that few ducks were safe when they came into range and I have some terrific meals to be enjoyed this coming winter. That #5 shot really brought down the birds...... I couldn't be happier!!!
Thanks for your help, Will ....... And cheers to all the SxS enthusiasts on the board.

PS this photo was taken after a pleasant morning we enjoyed collecting quackers ... in S. Saskatchewan (The bonus was a flock of snow geese that came into range on my side of the blind. After letting the first bunch go because they seemed a bit far, I swung on a big white bird in the second flock, it dropped dead like a stone and to my surprise, a big blue fell just behind..... 2 for 1 with the 16 gauge!)
