Bismuth shot, waste of computer chip material... see update post 17

In the article it says , Made from a sheet of "lab grown"Bismuth. That would seem to indicate that the Bismuth they used was not natural ,but something made in a lab.

you can't grow an atom like you can grow carbon chains like graphene

They are saying they made it razor thin by growing it (arranging it in a lab)

China has stopped the flow of Bismuth...plain and simple. It is not going to be a non-toxic shot alternative any time soon. Watched a video from Boss ammo. They are focusing their efforts on TSS and more recently Copper shot going forward and have found an American made source for the shot to eliminate buying from China.
Copper might be old gun safe but TSS certainly isn’t. Won’t be buying a modern shotgun anytime soon keeping my eye out for a lakefield 400 and will swap the barrel out for a mossberg.

Does Bilozir not still offer Bismuth? There was never a truly legal way to get Boss shells across the border, so my go to has always been reloading with Ballistic Products shot that I've ordered from Will. They worked great last fall during my trip to Saskatchewan. It's not cheap, but that's the cost of doing business these days if you want to use a vintage gun.
He was selling it but last I looked he has jacked up the price the polished shot was $170 a bag last year and now it’s over $200 this was made in China bismuth shot that was the cheapest option. Looks like I won’t be going after waterfowl anytime soon.
