Bison hunter becomes the hunted

I put four arrows into an escaped farm buffalo a few years ago. First shot was 40 yards and the second and third shots were not ranged but were close to that distance. It ran away about 50 or so yards on the first shot, ran away about 60 or so yards on the second shot. The third shot it walked away stumbling, made it around 20 yards. Once it was swaying in one spot I put a fourth shot that was not needed to try and speed up the kill. It died from three arrows into the lungs and one shot ( the second shot from the excitement) went above the lungs but below the spine. It was down in less than ten minutes. All of the arrows in the lung area got both lungs and were just polking the broad head out the off side hide. The one arrow above the lungs polked out about 8 inches and broke when the bull fell over. As for me, the adrenaline was fun but it was a nervous ten minutes. The kind of nervousness you get when your hunting a large predator, you know you want it but it’s kinda scary. It was some of the best backstrap steaks I have had.
