Well, I finally decided to get another airgun after getting rid of mine years ago. However this time I decided I upgrade since it will probably be the last one I ever get. Purchased an Air Arms TX200 in .22 cal and Im extremely impressed with the workmanship. The stock is a piece of gorgeous walnut and the finish on the rifle is extremely well done. Recoil seems very light (and its fairly quiet) but then again it is a fairly heavy rifle. Topped it with a Hawke Vantage 3x12x44. It should be more than sufficient for pest control and some indoor plinking. Now Im hoping that I made a good choice/investment for an air rifle....... I guess only time will tell

Thanks, looking forward to seeing how accurate it is. My 22 bullet / target trap arrived today and I have a great place for some indoor plinking at up to 100 ft …. I seriously thought about topping it with an 6x24-50 Element optic but it felt like I was adding too much weight
 
Air Arms - I think they are an English company, not sure. But that is a great purchase. I have seen only photos of the wood detail and it is quite nice. If I recall, I think this thing is close to 9lbs. Would you mind sharing from which retailer you purchased this?
 
air gun source is really the only vendor for this quality
order pellets and other stuff from Travis

Air Arms is English, but the stocks come from Minelli in Italy. Minelli also makes Weihrauch's stocks, as I recall.
 
Congratulations. The AA TX200 Mark III is one of the best underlever springers. I had one in .177 in a 12 fpe version. It was wonderfully accurate. I also had a TX 200 in Hunter Carbine in .22 and liked that one too.
 
I have had mine for just over one year – fabulous rifle. Then I got a Weihrauch HW97K – also terrific, just a little different. When I went back to shoot the TX200 I really appreciated it more. Low recoil, no twang, just a quiet 'thoop' and bang-on consistency. I had considered tuning it but now I cannot imagine it better – maybe the comb of the stock should be slightly higher – be that's just me.

I have the ProSport in .177 and a S410 in .22, excellent firearms. While the Prosport is a bit on the heavy side, it is my preferred airgun for varmint control. I run JSB Exact or Diablo Field, like posted above Air Gun Source is the best place for rifle and ammo.
 
I have a pre-ban TX and the 97k , both group well, and both really reflect the character of their country of origin. Had an insanely nice HW77 and would like to have another now, don't ever sell your kit.
