BL-22 mag tube

Just wondering if any knows how to remove a BL22 mag tube. I picked up some swivels which are a full band and mount on the mag tube. Is it just pressed in? Threaded? I loosened the front muzzle clamp but that didn't seem to be enough.

I think it's brazed in place and you'll need to drift out the front sight to get the loop on. I suggest just buying a split barrel band swivel instead.

Thanks pharaoh2, I thought you would know I think I'll just split the band and see if that works. When you refinished your BL-22 did you disassemble? How about the fore end band?

I was able to just shield the metal and strip and oil the fore stock in place, albeit about 6 inches foward from the reciever. I test fired it first and it was so spot on I didn't want to drift out the sight. I hate messing with front sights...
