About 39 years ago, my peckerhead brother, broke my BL-22, by short stroking the (short stroke action!), and trying to feed a round, with the bullet not properly lined up to the receiver. It bent a guide in the action and screwed it. That action would never lock up securely afterwards and I ended up getting rid of it. Shoulda gotten it to a competent gunsmith of course, but I was just a kid then.

Anyway, to celebrate Turdo's election, I dropped some $$ on a new BL-22 today. The exact model I had, way back when.

Just the 'Plain Jane', without checkering or stupid scroll work...

regret selling mine. Would have been perfect for my daughter now. I sold it because I have psoriasis on my lever hand (mainly on the knuckles) and leverguns just tear open the skin every time. It's the reason I have no leverguns now. GODDAMNED IRISH DNA. Skin all pasty white and krusty.

Very nice! Great little rifle! My BL22 is the one .22 that I will never sell. I can't say enough good things about them. Congrats on the purchase!
