I have a browning bl22 grade 1 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it's worth. It has been reblued and stocks have been restained and clear coated. I did this myself and it's not perfect but is in good shape. It's topped with a scorpion 3-9x32. I like the gun but just have too many 22s and was thinking on trading or selling it off and was wondering what a reasonable price to start would be.

Used BL22 in perfect condition sell for around $500.00

Depending on the condition of the reblue/refinish $225-$350.00

You may do better overall selling the scope separately.

Good clear pictures would make it easier to determine the value.

Well they are $1100 new at Cabela's.

I got $850 for my older grade 2 in very good condition some time ago.

I saw a grade 1 in good condition at a local consignment gun shop that sold at $750. I would say many are listed at that $700 but whether most sell or not is another question.

Rougher shape ones I've seen sell anywhere from $250 to $600. Refinishing, even if done well, definitely takes a hit to desirability.

Therefore I would say it would be worth towards the lower end of the rougher shape price range do to the refinish.

The scope adds no extra value or desirability and I would keep it if you had other rimfire rifles to put it on.

However, it depends on what an individual is willing to pay and the locality you are selling in. They sell better in my part of the country do to the prevalence of gophers, and the local western culture.
