So I am doing the best I can to come up with the funds for a "Black" 10/22 build.

I already have a bone stock stainless 10/22 that I have had for about 15 years.

After reading what people have posted and asking a few questions about the AirSoft type stuff out there I have it narrowed down to a few choices.

The Evolution stock system or the F556 system from Fabsports.

I want to go with a heavy 18' barrel, and want an AR-15 style butt stock.

Is there a better ( for the money) system for the 10/22 out there?

What have any other Gunnutz found with either of those kits?

I like the looks of my Nordic stock.
I would also go with a shorter barel than 18 inches.I have a 11.5 inch ER Shaw barel on mine and it looks good.

This is mine. I just put it together.

Evo stock
Tapco AR15 T6 Colliapsible stock
Krinker 8.5" match barrel
1 1/4" fake suppressor
Aimpoint scope
UTG foregrip
UTG laser sight
LED flashlight
Various rails

Thanks to Fabsports, Target Sports and CGN members for the great service.

Everything went together perfect, the T6 stock is a little sloppy and I might replace it with a fixed stock sometime.....

I test fired 10 shots tonight just to get the optics close and it works great.

Very nice, Red-Eye (pc9's is real cool too!)... The only thing I'd add to that beast would be an extended mag release (in black, of course). It's more tactically-sound not be spending 5 extra seconds of your time trying to remove the mag each time, especially for a rifle like that.

What was the total cost of your builds and where did you get all the parts, if you don't mind me asking? I have a brand new stainless 10/22 just itching for a face lift, but there seems to be no choice of kits out there... Thanks!

;)

pc9 and red-eye, Those both look great!

Are they both Nordic stocks?

With an 8 1/2" barrel do you get to be in a restricted area or not? I will NOT be putting on a folding stock at all.

I am also very curious about the price?!

Thew only Canadian sight I have found so far is Fabsports.
Who else that sells this stuff?

Thanks for the comments.

Most parts (including the can) are from Fabsports, excellent service and very helpful.

Prices are on the website, and yes .... it is quite expensive.

The Evolution stock is complete with pistol grip, forend and one rail. I took a longer rail for the top but you could also use the 10/22 rail for scope mounting.

I have a stainless all-weather 10/22 but wanted it to be all black so I picked up a new one at Target Sports.

I was considering an extended mag-release but the new 10/22 has a different mag release than my stainless one (it is flush mount instead of hanging down 1/2") and it works quite well so I didn't bother.

I am not positive about the class yet. I did not want to change the class to R. However, when I put it together it is only about 24" OAL without the can and about 28" with the can.

I asked the dealers and they said OAL includes any cans/flash supressors, etc so I am ok.

Hopefully someone here can verify that.

Heres a break down.
I have alot of money into this one but it can be done for cheaper.
Nordic AR 10/22 kit 260.00
Free float hand guards 100.00

You might want to get a definate answer on that cause i do believe the flash hiders wont count unless it is permantly attached to barel.
