Black Aces Tactical is very proud to present to the public what we've been working on in secret for months. What you see before you is our Pro Series receiver retrofit kit rapid prototype. Our machined prototypes are due by mid December.
These retrofit kits allow the average shotgun operator to replace their old oem receiver with our kit, and now be fed by Saiga 12 magazines! That's right! You'll be able to run 8, 10, and 12 round stick mags along with the 12 and 20 round drums. All readily available and off the shelf.

Here's the trick part. This receiver kit will accept your stock, trigger group, barrel, forend, mag tube, etc. All that's need is to swap over the components and you have yourself a magfed shotgun! We're currently producing protoytpes for the: Mossberg 500/590 Remington 870 Maverick 88 Mossberg 930 Remington 1100

Each PATENT PENDING kit includes:
Pro Series Receiver
New hardened firing Pin
New hardened bolt
New hardened slide Magwell bridge
Magazine latch
Feed ramp
Replacement magazine tube (870 and 1100 only)
Steel buffer tube threaded insert (930 only)

Best of all the price is FAR below what other magazine fed shotguns cost. Our anticipated retail cost of the complete kit is only $299, but for our facebook friends, we will offer the for only $279!
We expect to release them after the new year, but I will keep everyone updated.

Cool kit but..... Plastic shotgun mags? Not for this gun nut. I would never depend on a mag fed shotgun with plastic mags in subzero temps. They are fussy enough with metal mags.

The factory plastic mags are deemed good enough for service use by the Russians, who have successfully used synthetic mags for 50 years now.

They should do ok.

I've read similar things I hear what your saying, but I haven't been able to find any head to head trial with metal vs. plastic mags. And those studies would likely be short term anyway, as given time, polymer will degrade, more so in a cold climate. So although I am sure they are very tough in the short term, a metal mag will last much longer in the long run.

I wouldn't be so confident in aftermarket poly Saiga mags, but if anyone consistantly overbuilds and tests their duty small arms systems with the worst case scenario in mind, its the Russians.

I don't think there ever was a metal Saiga factory 12 gauge box mag so the polymer was probably totally designed for the application.

Dont use your logic here.. someone with 0% experience with Saiga shotguns and Saiga mags is saying that they wont work. hes obviously right and the russian military knows nothing

Maybe it's a better idea to read a post before you get your panties in a knot...... I said nothing of the Saiga shotgun, only you did. Please don't put words in people's mouths, it comes across like your instigating, when I was simply making a comment about the long term durability of polymer vs. metal and that is a no brainer. After reading my post again, I would have thought that was easy to understand. I would gladly pay more for a metal mag than a plastic one but that's just me. I also never said the plastic mags won't work. In fact, I did say "I am sure they are very tough in the short term, a metal mag will last much longer in the long run." You get "they won't work" out of that? Seriously? I wouldn't normally bother to reply to a post such as yours, but it's so far off the mark from having anything to do with what I said I made an exception.

And if they could make one for the DA Griz, then we could buy metal mags. If given a choice, I would think most would go with metal mags in a shotgun.

I was actually directing my comment towards this

Having experience with both i'll tell you that the DA grizzly mags are horse sh*t and the Saiga mags will long outlast a grizzly mag.

as mentioned the Russians have been using polymer mags for some time now, and its gets cold in Russia if you weren't aware. If there was going to be major magazine problems caused by temperature, then you can guarantee they wouldnt be using them.
This was the gist of my overly sarcastic post

And i assure you that my panties are fitting perfectly, thank you for your concern

No sweat man, buy whatever floats your boat. If you have confidence in plastic over metal there is nothing wrong with that. I choose the opposite, nothing wrong with that either. Of coarse I know the Russians sure know winter well, and living in Winnipeg, I also know what -50 feels like. Happy shooting whatever you prefer.... :)

I will conceed that a well made steel mag for the saiga's would be ideal .. but well made is the key here
