Black ammo

Hey guys, hoping someone can help. I little while ago I came across black bullets and black casing. Now I can't find it as my mom is wanting to get them turned into keep aakes for my father. What are the chances someone knows of the ammo in question. It was made for 9mm and 40 s&w if I remember right. Thanks.

Browning bxp (personal defence 9mm) has black casings but not the bullets. I believe they're a nickel colour

Sorry I don't have any other suggestions about what it could be but I'm glad that I'm not the only one that factors the colour of the bullet and case into deciding what kind of ammo I'm gunna buy.

The Third Reich made 9mm Luger with an all black finish and these would definitely qualify as "keepsakes" (but not .40 S&W 1990+)

The Winchester Black Talon rounds were black. The casings weren't though. I think they were nickel plated.

Leave it to the Germans for that one lol. The black talons were the ones like the rip rounds? I will still look further and see if the noveske rounds are them too. Never hurts to look. Thank you all for the help everyone.

The Black Talons are now called SXTs. They are no longer black. They were not the RIP rounds.

Ah gotcha on the black talon part. To many choices to follow lol. Cold blue dipped ammo? Yes I found the Jesse James ones last night, but wasn't sure if there were others out. Did find a black shell with blue bullets that looked really cool which I might show her in case she would like those betters as my father just retired from Toronto Police. Different take on the thin blue line part for sure.

Blue bullets? That could be the Nyclad series of ammo back in the 90s. I think for decreased environmental lead exposure. IIRC they were sold by Federal?

They were just the rounds on there own so I can't confirm who made them.
