Black and Green Rifle Sales

Might as well buy now and enjoy before the libs get in and we are all using a single shot sling shot that's registered. I know it hasn't stopped me or slowed me down from getting the ar's I wanted

I'm just stuck in limbo right now...just bought my cx4 storm and a savage model 10 so on hold untill Xmass probably. Then I have to decide on a 958 or something else to help burn up my x39 stockpile or an m14/m1a....I just can't decide.

Nothing affect me from buying more firearms.
We only live once. Don't want to regret when my eyes closed.

Well, I just spent more money than I've ever spent on a firearm for an XCR. The recent reclassification had me trembling, ill admit, but I just refuse to let the RCMP scare me.

Bought a Tavor and a Springfield Armoury M14.

And if some aorta head decides to prohibit them later...I will have sold them to Some Guy in Red Deer Alberta a long time ago. All they have to do is look it up in their registry.

Actually, they did scare or you would have bought a rifle on the AR platform. However, since the RCMP seem to have free rein with regard to re-classifying hitherto unrestricted firearms, your XCR may yet hit the list.
Every time Obamanation makes waves, US gun owners go on a buying spree of 'evil' guns like AR's. Makers and dealers are quite grateful. Good to see it happening here as well.

I'm considering a 'Rinco shorty 305 just 'cause I like the look. Good companion for my Springfield M1 and Mini 14.

Nope bought so I could actually use it hunting/backpacking.

I know the xcr is on the hit list, but like I said this didn't stop me. Your logic is flawed

I said it tongue-in-cheek. Shoulda used a smiley emoticon to clarify.

Drives me nuts that I can waltz around the woods with my M1 and Mini 14, but my wife's lovely little AR has to stay home. I considered an XCR as well, but was deterred by the cost.

15,000 Tavors sold in the US in 9 months!

Well being as how the US has thrown down the gauntlet in regards to purchase of Tavors I say we need to step up purchasing new units ;).

Seriously, in 9 months they likely outdid or are at least on track to outdo all of the Tavors in Canadian circulation.

Strength in numbers. Start buying new units of any black rifle you can afford, consider the US Tavor sales as a direct challenge to your man card :D.

Don't forget, US made Tavor rifles are Restricted. But they are also $2099 (at I run guns)..... Save a grand, shoot at the range!

I've been thinking about picking up another Tar, from IRG, just to see if the shorter, stiffer barrel makes a difference accuracy wise......

Here yes, not to their target US customer though ;). In 9 months there were more units sold in the US (of equivalent non-restricted status in their country, aka not a SBR) than the entire time they've been in circulation in Canada, or at least it's on track to be more in a few months if not already.

My post was more about just buying more black rifles, of any kind that you can afford, that are new units. Doesn't have to be a Tavor :D. Strength in numbers.

I might grab another Norc AR in the near-future, perhaps even a T97 but, a $2-3K Tavor is out of the question.
I'd be so far up ####-creek trying to explain the value in that one to my SO.

Even the T97's $1000+tax tag would be hard to justify although, it being wood-walkable would be a plus.

In the USA, talk about a gun or magazine ban and sales go through the roof. In Canada the exact opposite.

The difference is that in the USA all firearms already in your posession are grandfathered.
Those who already have them before the law comes into effect get to keep them.
Legally registered full auto firearms cost a fortune in the USA because they are transferable.
In Canada legally registered full auto firearms are worthless because they cannot be fired even at a range and the pool of eligible buyers is shrinking as they die off.

Yes there are exceptions such as businesses requiring such licensing but I'm talking about common folk.

The XCR is probably one of the safest black rifles out there as far as reclassifications are concerned. It's an original design (although it borrows elements from various platforms) so it can't be construed as a variant of anything else and it would take some serious alterations to make the civillian versions go full auto.

The only way these could be threatened is if an unfriendly government were to update the prohib list by OIC.
