Black Badge Course and first match

This isn't really the proper forum for IPSC Ontario related

Huh???

This is as good as it gets as far as I am concerned. IPSC is welcome to create their own Forum...........actually they used to have one back when I first started. I think it was nuked over liability concerns. I even bought my first holster from the EE there.

CGN offers a great service to IPSC Ont and IPSC Canada for that matter all for FREE!!

I know that there are some in the upper eshelons of of IPSC that do not appreciate our existance but that IMHO is their loss.

This is a legitimate topic of discussion amonst shooters everywhere. Not too many are members of IPSC World Vision (mind you they should be).
I for one support the current qualifier system. To me to have a quckie IPSC match that actually counts is akin to an open book test. I would rather that the actual policy put a time restriction of a least a week. That would ensure that people have actuallly had the concepts sink in.

A "mini or micro" match after a BB is however a GREAT IDEA and I have allways participated in them for any BB course I have assisted in. The Drills for the BB course can get a little mundane after two days and the Mini match helps to tie the whole experience together. But it should not count as a classifier match.

Anyway.................that is my two cents and you are probably owed change.

Storm...I'm a dedicated GunNut...but we have a mechinism in IPSC Ontario for Internal Communications...that's for the official business...

As an informatoin hub for potential members...GunNutz is great and i do appretiate the members who spend time putting out information (and correcting rumours)

well this is how we learn, i myself have learnt alot from this.
1 being just beceause you have ipsc guys with many years in the game dont meen they know it all.
It would seem that someone did not 100% know the rules or tryed to bend them.
But no matter just meens that the BB course guys will be going to do it at an other shoot thats all, not like they are not going to go to any matches.
Looking on the Ontario wedsite looks to me like the best year ever for matches!!

Ah but that system is somewhat limited and unidirectional as in it does not promote open discussion of issues. Global Village does but again few are members there.

I cannot fathom why a discussion of the match policy would be questioned.

As I said........I fully support it and would debate in support of it.

Hey, discuss all the issues on here that you want...I would never suggest otherwise. I find the threads informative and intersting.

As a recruitment tool...or a way to have open discussions among Sections and even Regions...GunNutz rocks. All I'm saying is when it comes to offical business ...it won't happen here because it doesn't need to (we have that covered already)

BTW...Global Village discusses the rule book...I don't see any Sections or Regions discussing policy...

storm i think you know theanswer to that allready but ya want someone else to post it.
maybe ill get away with it beign a newer ipsc shooter.
I dont think anyone from IPSC wants to talk policy on CGN because if you badmouth an ipsc GURU on this board you run the chance of getting kicked out of ipsc.
As that have , can and will do that.
I,m just hear to learn IPSC that as i find it more intresting to get feed back from ipsc shooters from all over canada.

Just curious Simon...but why would an open disussion on policy involve you having to bad mouth someone

...and no...bruising someone's ego on GunNutz would not get you kicked out of IPSC Ontario...

Believe it or not...there are people that couldn't care less about what goes on here

Yes i understand some people dont give a toss whats posted on CGN.
Its just i find IPSC people very senstive if you question anything they feel is right.
So in the case of some people in ipsc ive talk to, if you do not agree 100% to what they are saying its stated that you have "badmouthed them".
But eatherway i,m just hear to learn stuff.
So ill shut up and do that now :)
