The IPSC Canada Black Badge course is scheduled for March 4/5 at AMA in Dartmouth, NS.

Please contact me via email for details if interested.

Interest in the black badge in NS is very high these days and this class will be limited to the first 12 participants that send in their deposit.

I can bring along some cheese for those guys. Would my Vaquero or Stampede work here? or something a little more 007 ish.
Is a 22 rimfire ok? and finally how many rounds. Oh and what is the total cost of this course, and are there benefits to having it?
Hey thanks for posting the course.:D

Some brie would be nice! LOL!

There is no division for Single action revolvers. True you could try it is Revolver but you would be blown away by the guys with speed loaders. There are "speed" requirements even in the revolver division that deal with reload times that you just could not meet.

So..........double action revolvers or at least revolvers with swing out cylinders or replaceable cylinders are a must.

.22 need not apply............9mm/38 spl is the floor in terms of power factor.

Rounds required? Well I took my course with about 350 rounds. I have seen people shoot MUCH MUCH MORE.......one guy had to be close to 600 rounds. It all comes down to how many times you need to master the drills. ie if you are a bad shot.....you have to shoot more.

Benefits??

Well............IPSC is a great game that provides plenty of fun. It is a great way to travel to various clubs and to shoot with some of the best folk around.

What more could you ask for??

Storm, you missed the question about 007...so I'll chime in...

Sean Connery, Roger Moore and George Lazenby can't participate - 32s are not powerful enough. Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan can bring thier 9mms, but they'd have to find some hip holsters... the shoulder holsters are no-nos these days. :( :D

my ex -brother in law signed up. I've been telling him how much fun it is and he is taking the plunge.

Well, I just completed this course today. It was a lot of fun, and I would recommend it to everyone, even if you didn't plan on competing, the fun and techniques would make it worthwhile.

Thanks to Sean, Dale, Peter, Cliff and Ron for coming out and putting on a great course!

J

+1 on that. Thanks again guys, it was a great weekend.

PEI ROB and a few other IPSC shooters are active in PEI, they opened that new range in Miscouche. You should hook up with them as they make it over to the matches in NB and some in NS. (save money by carpooling )
