Does anyone know if there's IPSC Black Badge courses that happen around the GTA (Toronto)? I've taken a look at the IPSC site for upcoming courses but they all seem to far away from me. Closest I found was Ottawa!

Most likely you will have to travel somewhere for the course.

If you sit and wait for the perfect course to come to you, you'll end up like this guy;

Have you talked to your club rep? They might have plans for a course and just need a few more interested people to sign up.

Look up in IPSC Ontario website. You can choose what clubs your willing to go to. And if that club is hosting one in the future you will get emailed once you set it up. Tryed that route and it seemed to be taking forever. So what I ended up doing was periodically checking the calendar for up coming bb courses. Once you see one sign up. Did mine in Crumlin last Oct. Drove from dtwn Toronto to and from all 3 days...2 hrs each way. If I were to do it again I would stay at a local motel. At least I would have gotten more sleep...lol But gotta tell ya it was a lot of fun....the shooting part not the driving.

You just missed the recent Crumlin (London, Ont) one for march 6... It shows full. You can email and see if there is a cancellation and put yourself on that waiting list.

Hey Man.. i'm on the hunt too, pls keep me informed! As someone mentioned, a club may just be looking for more participants in which case, I'm interested! I'll keep you posted too if anything comes up for me

Target Sports has them on hold while they do range improvements. I'm hoping they'll start up again next month. In the meantime I'm doing my CLSC next week, so I hope to be able to do my 3 shoots and do the BB course by May.

The best way to go about this is sign up here:

https://www.ipsc-ont.org/stats/bb/fc3174d28a25414ad20d4f2d8e2a0724

You put your e-mail on a list and they will contact you whenever a new BB course is offered. You can select any number of ranges that hold BB courses, so only the ones you are willing to drive out to essentially can be selected. In all honesty though, be prepared to drive to get to your course. At mine, I'd say about three quarter were an hour more drive away. It usually consists of a Friday evening, a REALLY long Sat, and a shorter Sunday.

Sorry Plinky, that feature is not available anymore.

Oh really? Ah, without that, I wouldn't have gotten into a course as quickly as I did, and even then that took a while.

Still looks like it's up and running. What happens when you sign up? No notifications get sent? Looks like ipsc-ont.org is still running.

I am pretty sure there is no BB courses at Target Sports, they are not listed as a official affiliated club:
https://www.ipsc-ont.org/clubs.htm

Target Sports does have a holster course from time to time but it for their location only and not valid anywhere else:

I could be mistaken, but that is what I remember when I took my BB.

That was my understanding as well. Target offers courses, for example a course so that you can holster at TS, and they host IDPA events, but I don't believe they offer BB courses.
