Not neccessarily so... I belong to an shooting org. that charges nothing to belong.
We pay match fees at the regular matches and that's where the org. gets its money to fund activities....
I don't get this seemingly obsessive need to "belong" to large established orgs. in order to enjoy any sport...
IPSC is a global entity that serves a purpose...
If you're into it then fine, but hey if you don't like it keep in mind there's nothing stopping you from starting your own thing. IPSC doesn't hold the patent to action type shooting.
As long as you shoot safe and within whatever restrictions your cfo has placed upon your facilities you're golden.

Glad you guys are getting back into the game. How many were able to complete the BB course? ANy plans for a match next year on the Rock?
 
It was definately an excellant weekend of shooting and first rate instruction . I wish I had this before I developed my bad habits :) :)

O.K. Bring on the matches and let's burn some lead.!!!!!!!
 
There is still time to have a provincials this fall, right?

I can prob come over with one or two guys to help set up.
