Black Badge in the GTA

Does anyone know if there are any anticipated black badge courses coming up in the GTA? I am very interested in taking part in one, but I live in the east end of the GTA and would really like to take part in a course that is an hour to two away in terms of drive. Hoping to not have to do the hotel thing.

I had a quick look on the IPSC ontario website and doesn't seem to be anything going around here in the near future. I did submit the request to be notified of courses in the area. Just wondering if someone has an idea of when something might happen in the GTA.

Looks like the Waterford Course would be best for you. If you can't get in, keep checking back to the bbcourse page to see when new courses get posted.

Correction. He already registered for notifications for upcoming courses.

I suppose he already selected the right clubs for him (can't check that without his real name or email).

One more thing is bugging me is that lots of people are expecting to learn about some kind of secret Black Badge courses here. It seem like there is either some instructors don't post their courses to IPSC Ontario or they don't pay attention to the waitling lists for their clubs here to get an idea about the actual demand... https://www.ipsc-ont.org/stats/bb/list

I use to live at Neilson Rd just south of the 401. From there to the Waterford Gun Club will take you 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, at least if you are leaving first thing in the moring before the 401 goes to crap. Get signed up and I'll see you there.
If you can afford the course fees and the 800 rounds for the3 days, I'm sure you can cover the cost of a night in Brantford.
 
I just got a call from Ron Malloy who is the instructor for the course. He has room for 6.What I didn't ask him was how many if any openings he had left, sorry.
I wouldn't waste any time Emailing him if you are interested. You can find his Email on the Waterford Gun Club website.
 
Thanks for the info Jack. Waterford isn't too far away and the cost of the course and getting a room aren't the issue. For me for that particular set of dates, the issue is that I am scheduled to work (shift worker) and I don't have the lieu time in the bank to take the days off unfortunately.

Euxx: I am brand new to IPSC so I am not sure about the best way to get plugged in. I do understand that the info for courses should be on the website but was hoping to see if anyone knew about something else that might be in the works. Or perhaps there might be enough guys and gals in the GTA to organize another course. Who knows - never hurts to put it out there!

I don't blame you... I am just puzzled.

So, the courses that already committed are always posted to IPSC Ontario calendar (unless they organized privately and won't take any other students).

Also, all Ontario instructors can see the numbers for each club in notification list and currently each clubs within 2 hours from GTA have well more then 20 people in the list. I suppose some of them will take a hint from that and will schedule more courses soon.
 
Hmmm... I wonder if it is more of an issue with respect to the clubs themselves?

I would love to do a course within the GTA itself if one ever happens.
 
Then sign up for the waiting lists(or update your choices) or contact the training coordinator thru the IPSC Ontario website directly and they will be able to help.:)
 
Sharon just opened this week (sorry, now FULL) Sept 14 for classroom, then the following Sat-Sun for the range day. I am also hoping to get into one. But I am booked next 2 weekends.
