I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a course to get my black badge.

If you know of any upcoming sessions please let me know.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

I have been checking local club schedules for dates. I just assumed there would be a calendar somewhere.

I will email the coordinator.

Thanks again.

Unless there are locations that havent been listed yet.... The last one of the year seems to be at Lower Trent Valley on Oct 23 however it is full.

Keep me posted if you hear of anything else... Im also interested

There is. It's this link right here, at the bottom of the page.

https://www.ipsc-ont.org/bbcourse.htm

You need to click on this link DAILY to see when someone posts an upcoming course.
When a course is posted that's somewhere near you; Sign up IMMEDIATELY.

Courses usually sell out within one or two days of posting. (Sometimes a couple of hours.)

If you're in the Ottawa area I believe there might be something coming up soon run by Steve Russell. PM me if Ottawa area works for you.

You'll be wasting your time.

Since last year, the Ontario Black Badge coordinator don't even post post most of the Black Badge courses to the calendar (unless they couldn't fill them in or have cancellations).

He actually wants you to do your own leg work and organize the range time at your range. Then talk to him if he could get an instructor for that time.

That's sad to hear.

If IPSC requires everyone to take a Black Badge course, they should at least make sure that courses are readily accessible.

And personally; I think they should shorten it to a one day course.

The Black Badge course should probably be extended to three days and include a section on range etiquette and sportsmanship.

When I did mine it was 2 1/2 days. Friday evening classroom at BRRC, All Day Sat & Sun on the range at Wentworth. Thanks Dave H.
