Lol I think John might have a good idea there. Charge $50 to challenge the course. You have to pass all the shooting and written tests in one 8 hour day with no instruction. If you fail you have to take the full course (with no discount) before being allowed to compete. If you pass you get to compete without having to take the full course.
I figure it's a good way to get an extra $50 from a lot of new shooters..muahahaha
 
Just joining USPSA won't cut it since you need to be a member of your home region 6.5.1
Vinney has publicly outed a shooter on his old website(the one with the 10 worst people in IPSC list) for not being a member of their home region but being a member of another one.
