Got this nice gal last night about 10 minutes before It got too dark to see. Of course I was by myself (and my dog) . I saw him cross an old logging/mine exploration
dirt road at about 300 yards away. I drove another hundred. Got out (left the whining dog in the truck) and slowly walked right up to him, (using the bushes/tall grass, and dirt mounds to cover me while crouching down) . I shot him with a 300gr X bullet in my .375 Ruger. Using Winchester mag primers, 68.5 gr of Reloader 15, Hornady Brass. He was facing me, I was uphill about 15degrees, and he had his head down , eating something, and my shot entered him from the top of his back at the base of the head/spine, and it exited out his bottom ribs. The shot was at about 40 yards. He did 2 amazing flips in the air, then dropped like a big bag of flour. The bullet of course passed though so no pretty bullet for display, but this guy will occupy a spot on my wall behind my drumset.
