I was speaking with my local gunsmith and he was tellimg me that a lot of people have been having problems after shooting black cloud shells and not using a choke from black cloud.any truth behind this?something about the wad damaging the original chokes.thanks

Thanks guys, went back to the shop and noticed that they don't sell black cloud, only kent, winchester, etc,i think this was his way of trying to promote his instore ammo,i think i will have to find another shop.I'm not sure if i should trust his opinoins anymore. Thanks

My friend's sx3 busted few years back shooting BC. He was shooting a BC choke. No idea if it was the ammo or just him.

That stuff will kills them deader then regular stuff, but will also give substantially more meat damage.

Good distance and penetration for goose hunting. I haven't seen any damage yet to my chokes, but I have only fired around a hundred rounds of it.

I agree about the price. I only buy it when I can find it on sale.

No choke damage for me yet. It kills birds. Shots at 50-60yards on ruddies often leads to killed birds all around the one I was shooting for. Some semi autos have trouble with them I've noticed

the only problem i have herd with black cloud is not too use a wad stripping choke or a ported choke that reduces muzzle pressure , because of the wad.

other then that it is deadly stuff , really works good on late season honkers

and just a FYI federal has a recall on there snow goose shells since about late november , personally i patterned and shot snow goose and just not really convinced in the whole speed kills thing best results where around the 1400 to 1550 fps mark JMHO
