This event will take place July 1st, 2006 at Granby range during the PPC match.

I've already posted this topic in the service rifle forum, but since we're only gonna set this up if we have enough people interested, I figured i'll reach out more people here.

It's not a true "service rifle" event per NSCC/CFSAC rules, but more like the "Patrol rifle" match we did at last year's PPC provincials.

For details (in french) see: http://www.armeafeu.org/viewtopic.php?t=4169

It's an FQT-approved match, so no special ATT to apply for ;)

Will write all the details soon.

I couldn't find the posting. Is that a link for the general public, or members only?

Course of fire? Timings? Contacts?

(www)armeafeu.org is a discussion forum for franco gunnutz... the thread is in a members only area. sorry.

Here's what we're talking about:
-------------------

Admissibility:
- Open to all ! No need to be a PPC shooter, nor to be a member of some association.
- Minimal inscription fees (about 10$, to be determ.). Possibility of "re-entry", ex: pay twice, shoot twice (to be determ.)
- The match is sanctioned FQT, so no need to ask for a specific ATT is you're a member of a QC club (your annual club ATT is o.k.).

Equipment:
- Centerfire rifle, carbine or SMG, repetition mechanism and feeded by magazine or clip. Minimum of 5 rds capacity.
- Maxium caliber 0.450" (11.5 mm).
- The firearm model has to be recognized as a “service rifle”, meaning it is presently used by any MIL/LE organization or has been in service previously.
- Any iron, electronic or optical sights. Magnification of 4x max.
- No artificial ground support (ex: bipod, sand bags). Use of sling and ground mattress is allowed and the mag can touch the ground.
- Four mags and 60 rds of ammo are needed.
- Rifles must be zeroed prior to competition.
- The shooters can use binoculars or spotting scopes. Coaching is prohibited.

Classification:
- There are no classes; the match is "open".
- Prizes (medals, trophy or cash) will be given out to the top 3 shooters.
- Scoring (max 600 points) will be done like for PPC, per current CPCA rulebook.
