Hold your horses I'm trying to find em! will get them up as soon as i do.... All as I'm saying is that the bear was unable to be determined a grizz or a black bear from the COs....

HMMMM Demonical..your eyes must be better than mine....lol from Alberta you can call it brown..and wet...hmmm its now dry and STILL black as it was when I was skinning it, when it was glassed..from the first time I saw it untill now it was and is still black....what you "may" see is some of the underhair ..that has a brown ting however the hair is BLACK...and as ELMER KEITH SAID..."HELL I WAS THERE"

Well I'm just going by the pic. The head looks brown, the rump looks brown, so when I'm looking at it and I can see the hair is wet, it just looks like to me that is why it looks black.

But you're right. That's all I have seen, you skinned the damn thing. I believe you.
