Black guns Ammo review

Hi Guys

I am thinking to start a post for a full review a Black guns bullets , maybe 1-10 of each caliber in quantity of 1000 available in Canada? what work better with one guns! and what to avoid!

ps: TV-press will be the best guy to do it! ( if he want to !)

Cheers

Are you asking for input on a specific bullets performance in different models of black rifles? Your grammar is a little hard to follow.

Are you asking about bullets or loaded, factory ammunition?
I've loaded everything from 50gr. FMJ to the 90 gr. Berger match bullet for ARs, SL-8, Sig Classic Green, Tavor and FS2000.
All of the bullets are going to perform differently depending on the given rifle, but as a generality match and varmint type bullets are manufactured with better overall consistancy (be it weight variation or concentricity) than some of the offered bulk or FMJ type bullets. This is going to be true for factory produced or hand loaded ammunition.
Pick within the range suited to your barrels' twist keeping in mind availability and do some experimentation.

Hi Guys

what about a Ammo review? especially 1000 rounds , what is the best for the price?

It will depend largly on the shooters opinion and the gun it is being used in. It will also largly depend on what you are trying to achieve with it.

There are a TON of variables to consider and quite frankly my needs might not be yours... it would be difficult to even begin to properly "review & compare" the various .223 and 5.56 rounds that come in bulk, let alone the price and time needed for testing would be very costly.

you guys are over thinking this, he wants ammo that wont blow up his gun and that groups reasonably.

just get federal 55grain black box, something like 450$ for 1000 rounds.
if at an odd moment you want/need better groups go with 55 grain vmax, point of impact will be the same, groups will ve smaller.

Sound advice from the man who has done the best Tavor accuracy ammo review to date...

And while I hear what your saying mike, look closely at the first quote that shows his un-edited post. Couple that with his edited one and it paints the picture that he wants TV-PressPass to do a in depth review of the various bulk 5.56 available.

This is why I brought up the points I did in my previous post.

I'm not sure if this comment is aimed at me, but those who know me consider me to be a High-Tech Red-Neck actually.

try to be nice and the red neck will bite you! :(

Also, now that you have edited your original post would you mind adding what specific calibre of ammunition you would like reviewed?

Otherwise without any actual calibre to go on I would have to say .22 rimfire would be your best value for buying 1,000 round bulk ammo. Albeit this is a Black Rifles thread (meaning center-fire ammo.) so 7.62x39 might be a better choice for an affordable black rifle round that is unless your thinking pistol calibre then most definitely 9mm FTW when thinking solely on cost per round.

However for punching holes in paper with the .223 Remington calibre I prefer Hornady 55gr. FMJ ,but at $38 a box of #50 (current price from SFRC a CGN sponsor) buying 1,000 rounds can be a little more then some other .223 ammo. available. Saying that this ammo. is very reliable, consistent and accurate that leaves behind good brass and is even competition worthy IMO. For a second and more affordable choice of .223 ammo. Sellier & Bellot 55gr. FMJ #1,000 Rd. lots for $399 are a fair deal (again at SFRC, but sold out at this time).

Just want to point out that there is a large portion of people who are French speaking in Canada, so English is not necessarily their strong point and sometimes they may not use the right words.

Just saying. Don't be too hard on people.

Good point Greentips, thanks for the reminder.

It is sometimes all to easy to forget these things having never been further east than the middle of Saskatchewan, and living in rural AB.
