I have a generic Turkish 12ga semi which was built with a black plastic ring about 8mm thick between the back of the gas piston and the front of the action bar rider.
The ring has broken into a c shape. I don't know that it is opening up under the action, but something must have split it originally.
I want to make a replacement, but can’t tell if this was originally a cheap rubber part that has hardened with time/oil, or if it was always a rigidy plastic ring.
Does anyone own a unit with a similar spacer/ring/donut who can tell me what it was like when new?
It is a small part with 6 large ejection pin marks, which I associate with something that was still supposed to be soft when it was pushed out of the mould.
It is also raggedy-hollow in cross section, although I don't know what that is about.
