Black Powder 45 Colt Loads

I'm just starting reloading, and I want to do up some black powder 45 colt loads. Hodgdon lists loads for Triple 7, but not Pyrodex (and I already have some FFFg pyrodex). Does anyone use Pyrodex for 45 colt, or should I just grab a pound of Triple7?

I have used pyrodex P, swissfffg and goexffg, as always ensure no air space with moderate compression about 1/8" or so , lots of fun to shoot

i use 777 and its fine. you will never match the power of smokeless in the cartridge with any black powder or substiute. fill it full as you can with out compressing it too much.
