I think there is a different catagory for Black Powder in the Boone and Crocket books but I can't seem to find anything on it. Does anyone have a link to the records or know what score it takes to quaify?

Nope, Boone and Crockett does not differentiate between weapons. What you are thinking of is the Longhunter Records Book. Kept by the National Muzzleloading Rifle Assoc.
