Black Powder Handgun Picture Thread

Just got another Pocket Pistol in the mail today, the gun at the bottom is my latest addition. It is an ARMI SAN MARCO .31 cal. with a 6 inch barrel it is the only one in the picture that is restricted due to modern manufacture. This should be a good shooter as the action is very tight and appears to be near new.
On top the Manhattan .36 cal. 5inch barrel Antique.

Next the Colt 1849 Pocket .31 cal. 5 inch barrel with an up-graded cylinder and new grips on the way from the U.S. This is a work in progress.

The bottom gun might be considered a "Baby Dragoon 1848" due to its squareback trigger guard not sure on that, it is a repro in any case.

Size comparison: 1851 Navy vs 1849 Pocket

This picture shows the size difference between the Colt 1851 Navy .36 cal (Repro) and a Colt Pocket Model 1849 .31 cal.

The mail still comes through. Got all my new (used) stuff.
Top left is a Freeman army .44. Not the best looker at the prom, but a scarce gun. Action works great. (.44s are nicer in the hand)
Centre left is a Cooper navy .36 cal. Could be a good shooter.
Bottom left- Metropolitan navy.36. Nice all around. It's been around for a month, just had to throw it in.
Top right, a Bacon pocket .31. A former owner liked to clean too much, and could use a hand spring.
Centre right is a Plant front loading cup primed .42 cal. I have the smaller .30 cal, so I thought I needed the army size too.
Bottom Right, a decent Colt thunderer .41, thanks to a fellow CGNer. Might be a good camper special.
And that's it for the spring. Happy shooting.

Today was Black Powder day at the range, fired the flint lock for the first time after buying some powder and filling the flasks. I took about a dozen shots and it fired every time, the first shot was way high so I aimed it low and got into the zone. Not bad for a smooth bore with no sights.:)
