black powder vs Pyrodex RS

Hi,looking to choose the right charge for cartridge,i know black powder no space betwen the bullet +wab,for the contact bullet and powder,
Tyrodex RS is this powder is load with same way of black powder,drop tube ext.thank you

Use the same volume of Pyrodex as FFg Blackpowder.

I load BP/Pyrodex shotgun loads by hand - so I do not know anything about drop tubes.

I don`t know what you really mean by the term "right charge".....I`m not a fan of using a "filler" (ie: cream of wheat) to down-load a black powder charge....Just figure out how deep you are going to seat your bullet, then add BP to the bottom of your bullet, add wad and seat bullet...A slight compression (1/8") will also help the BP burn slightly cleaner.....As to the drop tube, what cartridge are you going to re-load for?.....For long range rifle I use a drop tube (36", made of BRASS) to help settle the BP....This does help with accuracy.....But for pistol?...Forget it....Pour in your BP charge, then tap the case several times....Put in wad and seat bullet.....

BP 2fg equals Pyrodex RS...Loads the same....Pyrodex Triple 777 is a different animal....It shoots a higher pressure, and as such Pyrodex recommends reducing charge by 10% (by volume)...You`re new, so stick with the common BP and Pyrodex RS and P...
