Black powder

Me Too!

I would also like to get my hands on some black powder in SW Sask. Its hard to find. I'd take anything suitable for a cannon.

Just to nit pick in a minor way, but if you can afford to spend $10,000 on the four rifles, why not splurge and spend an extra $50 ( $10/ lb) on the 5 lbs or so of powder you are likely to use each year and buy from a Canadian source such as Hillfolk? We need to sponsor Canadian sources or soon we will lose them.

I agree with you totally. I will be buying all my powder from Hilfolk and all my bullets from Ben Hunchak. I will be buying from Hilfolk. They are good people and live near me but they may not have the supplies I need this year. I have an order in with them and would love to purchase 20 lbs of 1.5 swiss immediately but they dont have it at the moment. I have my name in and will purchase all my supplies with them in the long run
 
I too buy from hillfolk, i've used 10 pounds since the spring gun show in Swift current. I cant wait till this fall or next spring. senelac too far away for me to drive to for just powder. does boyers in maple creek carry it? or anyone in Medicine Hat?

Are there any members of the Sask Landing Long Rifles group around? They used to burn a lot of black so may know of a source.

I have been absent from this forum for awhile due to some slander issues, but have been convinced to return by some good friends on here.....Dantforth....i paid $28/pound for Swiss from Hillfolk.

Its good to have you back Ben. Ignore the diddlers. I appear to have 10 lbs of 1.5 swiss coming hehe
