I asked Skullboy where to place this and he said Black Rifles was best, so contact him before deleting this post, please.

I have been asked to put together shirts for our Tactical Rifle shooters at Thompson Mountain in BC and we need to determine a few things even before we get to placing an order and getting shirt sizes, etc.

First, do you want one? Price should be around $20.

Secondly, what kind of shirt, Tshirt, muscle shirt or the traditional 'wife-beater' ... I know that's not PC but if someone else has the correct name, LMK and I'll change it.

Colours ... to keep the price down I plan one colour ink on a coloured shirt. Right now I'm leaning towards black design/lettering on OD green, but I'll listen to suggestions. Design will be small and on top left corner of shirt.

We need about 25 orders to make this possible.

What should the logo read?

Tac Rifle

Thompson Mountain Tactical

Tactical Rifle

Thompson Mountain Tactical Group

Or some other variation? LMK …

BTW, I am open to putting together a more 'generic' design for Tactical shooters across Canada ... just LMK where you're posting from.

Sweet. I'll take one to support you guys.

It kills me that I need to work almost every saturday that this is on....

But anyhow, OD is a good color choice (IMHO)

Why not have "Thompson Mountain Tactical Group" below an AR on the front left top of the shirt (a la the small CGN logo on CGN shirts)

and have "Thompson Mountain Tactical" in large letters on the back.

I'm not too busy right now so I'll try and photoshop something for ya.

Cheers,

Alex

Ok, please don't laugh... this just a quicky photoshop job..

anyhow, the image could be replaced with anything, probably a siluette (sp) of some kind.

The font is one that I liked but some might not agree, anyhow. as I said before, I'm always in for a t-shirt.

let me know what you think

i like the idea of t-shirts....i would keep it simple with something along the lines of "tactical rifle" and such..it allows people that are involved in this style of shooting but dont neccesarilly shoot at thompson to buy shirts too! Forgive the ultamite run on sentence!

I'd be up for one, but not I'd prefer a pic of a shooter in action (generic line drawing perhaps?) instead of an AR. For obvious reasons :p, plus it would be more representative of the sport than just a damn AR.

Hi Oleg, thank you for your efforts. I do have someone working on a logo at the moment, but perhaps I should take submissions and choose what I think is best. Or perhaps pick some of the best elements and submit them to the shirt designer.

The guy I have spoken to about this is a shooter and has an interest in bringing Service Rifle matches to TMSA.

Sorry about the AR in the shirt... It was the only thing that looked "tactical"

Like I said I slapped that together from pics on my hard drive...

If you like I could spend a few minutes extra over the weekend and get you something interesting.

If you need some crazy font, I have a LOT of fonts.

Cheers,

Alex

P.S. --- Gothmog, since it's your idea, what do you want to see as a logo??

+2 I would take a couple of t-shirts and I think a line drawing in the vein of perhaps Springfield Armories Marine rifleman logo would be a better choice.

Like the dude in the upper left corner...

Have you guys never looked around at the matches? The most frequently seen rifle at TacRifle matches is ____________ (fill in the blank). If you guessed AR15, you would be right ... :p

Allright, enough razzing ... but ya gotta admit that AR's do predominate. Its either gonna be an AR or a Beretta Storm ... oops, I did say that was enough razzing, already.

To answer Oleg's question, I have asked the shirt designer to come up with a design putting an AR in the foreground, a mountain in the background (Thompson Mountain, after all), with a lightning storm symbolizing the action in the matches.

My preference is just to have the logo on one side, in the top left corner. Cost will be higher if we do the back as well.

I agree with you ... if there are non TMSA shooters that are interested in a 'generic' Tactical Rifle shirt, do let me know and if nothing else we could do a second run. We need about 25 orders to keep costs reasonable.

I like this part for a sig line:

Forgive the ultimate run on sentence!

What type of AR style original or flat top with scope ....errr.... i mean what type of gun?

Cheers,

Alex

Carry handle, I think ... we can always do other stuff in succeeding years.

14" barrel would be cool ... I have a pic if you need one.

I always wondered why you never came to our matches .... you seemed to have the interest and the gear.

Here you go. 10 minutes of fun  :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Actually the storm one looks COOL...

Lets hear it for the AK. Can you say politically correct :)

Cheers,

Alex

S**T............

sorry they turned out huge... yet they are small in KB size, i'm confused :?

I think, they're ok.

Maybe I can find an image of the actual thompson mountain....

Gothmog, I do have intrest in the stuff. Have the gear (11.5" AR & Yugo SKS)

Both shoot well. Just working like a madman lately, Sundays, I usually went to my range in Squamish. I will make it out to one for sure, but not the next one since I will be hunting in cache creek.

Alex

EDIT: gonna go shrink the pics by 50% gimme a minute.

Don't use an image of the actual "Thompson Mountain" ... its more like a green hill. There are pics available of storm crowned mountains. Something dark and forbidding would be cool.
