Thanks for the correction. A friend of mine is into bikes, hardcore. He mentions her occasionally.
Does she attend TAC shoots?

No, but someone should invite her I think ... I'll find a gun for her.

We brought Dagmar out to Slavex's Skills and Drills.. not everyone is ready to run around with a loaded firearm.

Jim.

Ok guys, discussions with the T shirt guy have led to the following design ... he said SIMPLIFY it and I have done so. I hope you guys can live with it as I feel it represents TMSA TAc Rifle quite well, with the stylized mountain/lightning bolt in the background and the shorty AR below.

LMK what you think, and as long as most don't HATE it, I think its a go .... I'd like it to be PERFECT for everyone, but realistically speaking, that's just not possible.

Look here:

I'll post a couple here as well.

I've tried to post some different colour combos above ... background would be shirt colour. There are more examples on the link in the previous post.

Lettering and colours can all easily be modified but I'd like to stick with this basic design.

Not bad. Get rid of the crappy stock though. Looks a lot better than the "hillbilly" version.

I think the fixed stock is there to stay ... we'll run a new rifle pic with every year's shirt but the basic design should be the same.

Not to close down discussion on this (hey, if you hate, it , LMK) but at the moment I'm not much for tinkering with the design elements ... after the mountain of work I've done to get things to this point.

And after all, we wouldn't want to be designing this by committee, would we?

+1 for the tele-stock

Hi guys, not to be cranky or anything, but as I've said before, I am not going to change major elements at this point. Colours, text are all on the table however. Assuming that the basic design is reasonable (it seems so thus far) I will then find out how many firm orders we still have.

I am not sure how many different shirt colours we can use, but I think a black design will probably work with any colour ...

LOL, even as a non-AR shooter, I have to agree about the AR setup in the silhouette (That it's bad ju-ju). Can you even call an SP1 tactical? Where are the doodads? Did the owner of that AR break his Magpul stock at the last match?

Well, its not an SP1 actually ... but its beaten its share of more 'tactical' rifles at matches.

There is no way everyone will be satisfied with any choice of any one rifle. As I posted earlier, I have decided to deal with this by changing the rifle in the design every year we issue shirts.

Who knows, perhaps we'll even have a Valmet one year, even though one might be hard pressed to call those heavy awkward things with poor ergonomics 'tactical'.

Please change your description of my rifle's ergonomics to "fair" or "passable", due to my upgraded safety and mag release :), and soon-to-be 4-pos CAR buttstock :p.

Well, I was generalizing to include standard Valmets, not 'sporterized' versions and besides, as one might say "what is a Valmet, exactly?"

With all these changes, perhaps yours should be called a "vARmet" ... I'll pronounce upon its merits after the next match.
