Yeah it likely is a variant, but correct me if i'm wrong SR-25's arent't available in Canada yet.

We've been selling them for about 2 years now...

to my knowledge they are not, but you see used ones on the EE often enough (there are 2 that were bumped recently i believe right now)

Here's an updated list. I excluded those no longer in production or not commonly available.
I included calibre, type and sorted each category into sections for rifle, pistol or rimfire.
I'm missing info on M14s and probably some AR manufacturers. I split the list into 4 sections:
Non-restricted, Restricted, Hybird (either) and Restricted-Variant (regardless)

The tavor is in the hybrid list because while it is generally non-restricted, you can buy shorter barrels making it restricted

I think they left the CZ out since it is a 'red' rifle, not a 'black' rifle. Personally I think the red rifles should be merged together with the black ones - both make the Fudds and Liberals grumpy.

No but it's been classified as NR, so at least we know where to put it.
