Black Rifles: to buy or sell based on Ban possibilities

I have a "black" rifle that I'm considering selling..(Buying another so it's kinda redundant) and I've never gone through the earlier "bans" And the impacts on the availabiliteis, prices, potential lost value etc..

I'd like to get people's opinion on what they think.. knowing that there are lot of unknowns about the potential bans (Eg outright confiscation vs grandfathering etc)

What do people think.. is the mentality of "buy just in case they do ban it" more prevelant then the "sell it just in case you lose your value" more common?

What are you thinking of selling? I am always looking for AR stuff.

I was on the "fence" as well re: Black rifles. Even though I spent a bit more than I thought I would, I have no regrets. I think to myself how would I get an LMT rifle (just a basic configuration even) right now? Next to impossible. Due to a twist in fate, I ended up with a (basic) LMT and a nicely customized build from a fellow GunNut. I was thinking about selling off the "lesser" one, but now I wished I had purchased MORE!!
BUY and ENJOY.
P.S. Fcuk the lefties and Lieberals!

I just bought a stag a couple weeks ago and liked it so much that I just bought a colt 9mm AR15 carbine:D all in the corse of a month

This summer I considered selling my full size Swissarms Classic Green. Now I'm keeping all 3 of my swissarms...20, 17, 14 inch. Hard to find any black/green rifles right now.

I will never sell my AR. I see it being a prohib in the next 5 years:(
Laws can be rewritten.
If you don't have an AR people buy one in the next year.

CPC will eventually get a majority and if we lobby hard enough then maybe we may see equality in terms of firearms classification. If a SA PE90 in non restricted then a 20" AR etc should be non restricted too. Nothing wrong with Saiga's and Tiger's and other Russian semi auto hunting rifles as well. I think the winds of change are blowing for a better smarter government in the CPC party.

not until recently did i start buying more for the fear of not being able to in the future. whether or not it appreciates is not a factor in my purchases these days. it is better to have it now than to be left out again, down the road. more people should do the same, its good for the economy. just imagine the headlines....gun owners spend way out of recession.....:)

This never seems to get boring... back in the earlier "ban" in the 1990's I bought prohibited stuff and I heard the same thing from people ..now I have 12.5 12.6 etc etc and have managed to maintain an interest in the hobby for years.

Buy what you want. Better get it before it becomes politically incorrect to own.

As I said, BUY IT!!! Every owner is like an extra soldier to the fight against neo-nazi-communist liberal. Every one of us can make a difference if we stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight!

Shoulder to shoulder? But what happens if they flank us? :dancingbanana:

If OICs under the existing law are used to prohibit anything, there is no provision for either grandfathering or compensation.
Additional 12(x) classes would require legislation.
Do whatever you choose to do. Get an AR or whatever, you can use it now. Don't and you won't and perhaps never will.
