Black Special Ejection Port

I looked at used black special today and the rifle was very good except for the coating being worn off to bare metal around the injection port.

I was told that this gun only had 200 hundred rounds through it and was wondering if the coating could be worn off that much with only 200 hundred rounds through it.

Also is there any product that can be used to touch up this damage.

200 rounds could do it, sure.

I have tried to keep my ejection port surround covered in electrical tape or skateboard tape, but still chewed off the paint with my first shoot.

It ain't pretty, but it works (and works, and works, and works...)

I put velcro sticky tape on mine and it keep the wear down to a minimum.

Cosmetic marks from use on a rifle means it works. Wear them with honor.

If all you are going to do is stroke it while showing all your buddies how cool you are by owning a sig, then I can understand your concern. If not, then cowboy the f**k-up and stop crying about some insignificant wear.

FWIW they come marked from the factory testing, mine looks like three hits, three rounds.

I have used mine for a few years and the chips don't get any bigger.
