So I am NOT having any problems with it ejecting....but I don't much experience with semi auto centerfire andI am curious about the dings in the side of the brass mid-case after they are ejected. I imagine it is normal, but I had to ask.

I love this thing. I'll put up a pic of it and its groups in a bit.:D
 
Various Semi-automatic rifles will damage the brass upon ejection. It is caused when the case rotates off the extractor after being hit by the ejector. It spins and strikes part of the side of the rifle.

The tape comment refers to putting a small piece of tape to prevent paint damage when the case hits the side of your rifle.
 
thanks for the info guys...I thought it was something like that. I'm using some 'screen protector film' for PDA's and cell phone s to guard the paint near the port, but I'm not to worried anyways. Thanks again.

If you don't mind fiddeling around with masking tape and goo, a little patch of "Tool Dip" painted neatly at that point on the port does a nice job and protects well. A 20 lifetime supply costs about $15 at Home Hardware.
