Black special flat-top no bipod in handguard?

I notice the pictures I see of the black special flattop don't seem to have the bipod-enabled handguard like the black special does. Is this correct? If so, why is that?

The rifles are equiped just like the others. Maybe someone removed the bipod in the picture you were looking at?

I was looking at the Swiss Arms website. I guess they were just showing off the different handguard.

The pic you are referring to is probably a carbine.

Shorter barrel, shorter handguard, no bipod and restricted.

The carbines do not have bipods on them. Many people, including myself, remove the bipods during their first range session with them. I find the bipod on the flimsy side, and I can't see using it on a rifle of this sort.

The bipod shifts the POI up about 2moa... I don't use it and normally remove it for this reason.
