Black Special magazines

Does the Black Special use magazines exclusive to itself, or does it use a more common magazine, such as those designed for the AR 15? If not, would I be able to modify AR mags to work in the Special?

The SL8 has an aluminium magazine well adaptor that enables the SL8 to use Stanag (M4/M16) type magazines.

I'm sure with just a little bit of time and a couple prototypes you could simply engineer one.

Nothing is impossible, only takes time.

I can see why your asking, as the Sig arms magazines are f*ckin expensive, compared to Stanag's where you can get them from as cheap as $5-15 if ya know where to look.

Alright, I might have a look into this and see if I can come up with something. Thanks for telling me that.

AR mags are TOTALLY different.... Different size, and made to lock into rifle receiver in a totally different way. AR mags slide vertically staright up and down, whereas PE90 mags lock at the forward edge, then "rotate" rearwards until the rear edge locks into place.

Kinda like an automatic transmission gear selector, versus a stick shift.

(Those of us that drive stick, will never go back to auto!)

If you could design one to work in the other rifle.... T'would be quite the feat!

Considering that:

-They are cheaper than Swiss and Sig plastic mags.
-There was more of them produced.
-They are easier to find in third world countries and in the middle east.

I say it would be much more economical to find a European distributor/surplus and having send legalised versions than paying 75 $ plus tax for 5 rds here...

That said I have 10 of them in Lebanon, but my plans to buy an SWISS just fell in the water as i bought an SL8 instead !
