blackfeather stock arrived!

Alright RS, I'll paint it pink for ya and give you a discount if you buy one. You'll either have to send me your receiver for elastic band bedding or do it yourself. How does $599 sound ($30 off)? It's the lightest chassis you can get for the M14 platform.

LOL ... that's the sales pitch i got from the boys at the rogue shop, they told me everyone would dump their sage, troy, vltor, mcmillan and all other M14 stocks and go with the almighty rogue... LOL, it didn't happen.
 
Great looking stock! But am I only one who disappointed with price up rising?
I know it is strictly about business and glad to see new stock option in Canada without worrying about importing stuff. But I remember I read a post from some other forum written by Laz that he was helping to develop new stock for Canadians that is affordable and rocks!(He was mentioning other stocks and talking about how ridiculous about their prices.) But when actual stock was released, price turned out to be 599 + tx which is almost equivalent to other popular brands.(and stock and grip are not included in that price) Now there is only 2nd production on going and price went up already to 629 +tx, at this point I'm afraid that price may goes up soon again. I'm huge fan of m14 and like to see more options to choose, however stocks are costy which as an average citizen, probably able to afford for one fancy stock then spend rest of money to buy other guns.
I was hook to Vltor stock since I thought it maintains m14's ###iness and price but blackfeather was appealing bit more with price and its quality. I was only waiting for blackfeather's reviews before I make my decision but with price change of blackfeather, it became less appeal and give me worries. The price will hold on 629$ or it'll change? If it'll change, the price will go up or down? I would say 30$ price change within 2 production run is quiet dramatic. I'll wait for more reviews about blackfeather which would able to tell me if it is worth or not.

and yes, Laz says a lot of things that may or may not be true...... he's kinda like that some of us have found

but seriously, if you want the straight goods..... bypass tyhe "horses ass" and go straight to the horses mouth ..... which is Frank hehehe

I thought it was $699, just check my statements and your right I'm wrong. Not the first time and won't be the last. I've only ever dealt with Frank, and I've found him to be honest and helpful.
 
The price went up $75 in the last day??? Yet another 75 reasons not to like this stock. You all that are buying this thing realize you can almost buy another 2 Norks for the same price???

Your continued hatred for Laz is getting really old. I've known Laz for a quite a while and he has never given empty promises of repair dates, false info or shoddy work. Instead of bashing the guy mabey you should keep it to yourself. M14.ca posts on here quite regularly, we don't need to hear from you on who we should talk to

LOL i knew it would only be a matter of time ;)

anyhow, I spoke with frank today and i'm sure if he had any issues he would speak up.

as for Laz, I don't care what he does, as long as he does it no where near me. It's people on the internet , mostly on other sites that fuel the apparent dispute. I call it like i see it and have never done shoddy work or given false info. I've also never befriended someone to further my own agenda and screw them over and spread bulls**t about them every where i go. nor have i stolen someone elses drawings from a machine shop and tried to pass them off as my own. you guys wonder what sparked the feud (that has nothing to do with this stock or frank) , and you've chosen to be a fanboy without even knowing the facts. I don't deal with those kinda folks period..

anyhow, another one of those threads gone sideways.

i haven't told anyone not to buy this stock and as frank knows, in fact i have recommended this stock to a business client of mine that may end up equiping 6 rifles with frank's stock.
all is never what it seems, especially when the only time you post is when it's time to take a shot at Thomas LOL

I think originally it was $599, but that might've been pre-order special only. Then once it was "officially" released, it went up to $629. I did see $699 at one point but then it's back down to $629. Weird how it jumps around.

I really thought about getting this stock but after adding the CASM mount, which is another $140, makes this more expensive than the Troy MCS chassis that I found off of EE, so I went with that instead.

Having more stock options is always great, but I do think this would've sold even better if it was in the $450~500 range.
 
Yeah real funny....I'm not out to get you or promote my M14 clique as you say....I don't care what other people say its what I see for myself that bothers me. And I ain't no fanboy either. Just an M14 diehard with loads of info and reloading knowledge whos become a lurker instead of a contributor due to the jabs from either you or your kool-aid drinking buddies.

But hey what do I know...just a stupid M14 mechanic remember
 
personally, 599 or 629 .... as far as what it is.... the RnD, the tooling.... the whole shebang...... the price is probably about right considering pricing of "similar" product stateside.
I'm gonna bet that the price is of little concern to the vast majority who like and want this stock.

we have all been used to paying in excess of 850.00 for anything evn close to a chassis in aluminum..... given those come wth handguards.
but have you ever tried to import a troy, sage or say a vltor or mcmillan?
ask giwolf or otokiak how much thier mcmillan mfs-14 stocks cost them hehehe
629.00 doesn't look so bad.

and for my part in the derailment in this thread....... too late to edit it away so it stays LOL but any issue i have with that certain someone is fading and it should not be perceived as an issue with frank or his business or his stock.
I'm a skeptic by nature so any product that promises to be the next best thing comes under heavy scrutiny. szhit loads of m14 nuts email me daily for questions on products so i only recommend what i 'know' works. can't fault the nonbelievers, and if the stock lives up to it's advertising...... it should be kick ass and the true non belivers will eat some crow hehehehe
