Just curious the general opinions between the two stocks?

M14.ca and http://www.crafm.com/vltor-mi-s-stock.html?___store=english

Both are comparable in price.

thanks.

The Vltor is nice enough, but it just a GI fiberglass stock with a more modern
butt stock/pistol grip assembly screwed & glued to what's left of the GI stock
after it's original butt stock has been chopped off. The Vltor offers none of the
accuracy enhancements you get with the Blackfeather RS.

It's really not fair to Vltor to compare it with the Blackfeather.

IIRC Vltor stocks had a cracking issue, maybe they fix it??

They fixed that with their revised adaptor.
A Vltor stock with it's buttstock assembly but no rails weighs in the ballpark of 2 1/2 lbs if I remember correctly.
Adding rail accessories ups that a hair.
Is certainly and measureably lighter than a comparatively accessorized blackfeather I would think.
I thought frank at m14.ca had a post or two a while back with stock weight comparisons so might want to check that.

I have a Vltor modstock. Easy install. Little lighter. Litle cheaper. The only real benefits.

It's way over priced for what you get. But way cheaper than a SAGE EBR and slightly cheaper than the Blackfeather.
