My question is about the forend that came with the stock. Mine has a definite bow in it to the point that the retainer nut on the 590A1 will not thread onto the slide tube.
I realize that these fit tightly but This one appears (?) to be deforming the tube.
Will anyone who has one of these units please let me know if yours has this apparent bow.
BTW Blackhawk has promised to get back to me on two occasions but I'm still waiting.

Can't remember if it had an actual bow or not but the one that came with mine didn't fit at all. But I remember at the time finding out (online IIRC) that the forend wasn't meant to fit the A1.

It took an afternoon with a Dremal to make it fit but I got it on. It's not that bad but id like to replace it with a railed one when I get a chance and find one.

I have one for an 870. It does appear to be bowed at least from the exterior, and it took a lot of work to install (read - pounding with a mallet). As it turns out, I didn't like it compared to the stock forend....it was even harder to remove again. Can't really tell whether it's bowed on the inside as well.
