Wondering if anyone out there knows when/where blackpowder clubs in Edmonton meet?

So far I've found the Edmonton House Brigade but there's no contacts or listed dates on their website. Sherwood Park Fish and Game has May 23-25 listed as a BP weekend though.
Alberta Black powder association also has a website but it's scarce on info - sent them an email as well.

Are there any other black powder clubs in Edmonton? Any groups that meet more frequently?

And since I'm at it - anyone know any blacksmiths in the greater Edmonton area?

You have found them all. Dig a bit deeper on the ABPA website and you should find some more detailed contact info. The May 23 - 25 weekend is always a good time at Sherwood Park F&G Range: rifle trail walks, pistol trail walks, 'hawk, knife, primitive archery, etc.

Thanks! I was looking at the Edmonton House website and it seemed like they had pretty strict layout for dates of reference (1812? ) for reenactments, but a BP shoot should be pretty open (I don't really have enough space or time to have a full costume).

There is usually a big shoot annually in Alberta hosted by some of the guys from the British Militaria Forum. I've yet to get to it but always mean too.

Hmm - I'll have to check that out. Maybe get a mad minute organised - see if we can get a comparison between ross M10's and Lee enfields for maximum ROF :D

ABPA just sent out a newsletter last week..take this to a pm and I can forward lots of info to ya..

No rigid costume requirements for any of the shoots in Alberta but many of us do it or at least do the hat&shirt thing and maybe more depending on weather... Most important thing is to have fun with other BP folks.
