I have been doing BP for many years - if you are around the Okanagan, let me know and I can help you get started.

Or, you could post where you live and someone else might help you.............

Welcome.... Get in touch with the BP group at your local club. If your club does not have one check for the club nearest you that has a BP group. Get in touch with that BP group and go to their monthly shoot. They will have a wealth of info for you as well as where and who has BP firearms for sale and well as where to get everything you need. BP shooters are a good bunch and will mentor a pilgrim along their way.

BTW what region are you in...

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Welcome. BP is great fun, but paitience is needed. No cranking out 1 rnd after another. Getting advice from people who have been shooting forever may be helpful but each BP shooter has a different approach that works for them. Best advice is to get a good BP loading manual which explains the history, powders and projectiles, calibers and loads plus what you will need for cleaning and maintaining all the different types of guns. There is a lot to know. Been shooting all types for many years and still learn new things. BP is harder to find but pyrodex is not and it's much cheaper than smokeless. Cast your own and it's the cheapest form of shooting. It's easy to get hooked on these wonderful firearms. Best of luck.
