There won't be any reviews. Each rifle is custom made. You can't review a rifle knowing that the next 200 built will be nothing like the one you tested.....
There was a review in one of the gun mags recently, not sure which, I'll have to look and see if I can find it.
Was either Guns & Weapons for Military and Police, Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement, or Tactical Weapons.
There was a thread about them over on m4c as well.
From what I've read, it's another decent quality AR that the end user specs out, and BW's gun shop builds it.
I think the major appeal is the name on the side. I'd get one just to have.
But then, I also want a Blackwater Sig.
Only problem there is it doesn't have the full article.
Which isn't too bad, since they almost always go into detail about the TANS and IWNS-T in every issue.... Which takes up column inches that could be used to talk more about the gun.
Im thinking sales will be boosted by what 'wickedpolice' commented on, the 'BW' stamp on the side, all in all not a bad looking rifle, I wonder if they will branch out to include a 762x51 model(s) down the line in the 'AR' guise or even introduce their own line of M1's-M14's ??????
I don't get it. How can you say it is a good looking rifle. They don't make any, unless someone orders one.
You can order one that looks like a base Armalite. Or one that looks like a super Tacticool rifle.
Blackwater does not have a 'line' of rifles to buy. There is no catalog to choose from.
You can't review rifles that don't exsist.
Sorry. You're right of course. I don't know what I read in the magazine then. Maybe it was a review of some Oakley boots, or a knew tactical folder or something.
I don't know about 7.62x51, but the article says BW doesn't stamp a caliber on the lower because it can be dicatated by the end user(556, 6.8, etc).
jennis, I can scan the article for you if you want. They had the gun set up as a DMR, and were on one of the long ranges out at BW, making regular hits on man-sized targets.
