Well no, if they are issued milsurp, most places post actual pictures and or explain the relative condition of the firearm. When they post pics of new or newly refurbed and nothing else then most expect exactly that, suckh is the case with the chinese sks with ribbed forearm.
 
They used to be fairly rare in Canada, so if they are half way nice, collectors will likely want one to fill that niche. So many different variations it is hard to find them all, I started selling off mine a few years ago locally, need to reduce by a few more.
 
We usually see unissued Chinese rifles with lots of cosmoline in them. We find the Chinese rifles we can get here in Canada from our distributor are in better condition then the Russian rifles. Interesting, a guy at an LGS said similar today the they thought many of the chinese models were now being made for export and no cosmoline on them, which wouldn't be the case of your sks as they are blade bayo and obviously ex military surplus.

not true. the last three shipment to canada are all military surplus. they havent made them for export for a couple of decades.
 
He was commenting on the lack of cosmoline and pristine condition of the chinese sks they were recieving. Either way, they seem to be a fair deal in these days of quickly rising milsurp prices!

i know , what your LGS said is untrue. as for cosmoline, North Silva posted pics of the french ticklers completely coated with cosmoline before it was shipped, when it arrived here most of it was cleaned off.
