BladeTech AR Mag pouches with LAR-15 mags???

Ready mags.
They are more adaptable than the Bladetech.
They work with the LAR mags (if you have those looped floor plates) and can be doubled up on the belt if you need to conserve space on your waist for other stuff.
Standard molle type connectivity.

I bought mine from Dave's Surplus in New Westminster, BC.
I believe One Shot carries them as well.

Thanks for the reply. All my searches for ready mags leads me to a device that attaches to the lower to allow an extra mag to be left on the gun it's self. Is that what you mean?

Evan,

I use a blade tech thigh holster for my LAR mags.
You can replace the floorplate with a "tactipul"

The mag's top will sit flush with the mag pouch..... but the "pull" sits above and fully exposed.

If you dont modify your mag though..... you'll put it in but have a b*tch of a time trying to get it out.

If you have more questions I can e-mail you pictures.

Once again it all comes back to what you are going to use your AR and mag pouches for.

If you want to shoot multigun matches or IPSC 3gun then the triple pouch thigh holster works great. If you tighten the bottom tension screw all the way in then the LAR mags will fit nicely without disappearing into the depths. You can push the mags in as much as you like to achieve the level of retaining tension you desire. This is the setup I use and it makes for very quick mag changes.

Watch out for the tacpul floorplates. If you are 'racing' with your gun they can cause problems. The tacpuls can cause the mags to stick in the gun and not drop free. Everyone I have seen run tacpuls has had this problem to one degree or the other. The other problem I seen with tacpuls is they will break if you pound your mag in with too much force. I saw this happen in the middle of the match and injure the shooters hand.

As always YMMV ;)

Oh, I guess I should have made that comment as well. With those "puls" they do have issues dropping freely out of the well. Not as much of an issue for me cause I am not a fan of dropping those mags to the ground, I remove it by hand and place it down. (or re-holster it)<not as fast>

While I've never had a problem with the mags sticking, I have broken a tactipul with the palm of my hand. Nasty cut, blood everywhere by the time the string was finished.

The manufacturer looked at the pictures and kindly provided a new one without charge.

Hasn't happened since, partly because I don't hammer them in as hard and partly because I distribute the force along my palm to spread it out.

Thanks again for the input guys.

The reason I specified that I want to carry them on my belt is that there's a guy setting up a matche here that includes a concealed or "low profile" division. No thigh or chest rigs allowed. It's not a three gun match. Just more of a carbine match with some use of a secondary too.

If it's a low profile/concealed match then the Blue Force Gear Ten Speed Chest rig should be allowed.

Designed to be worn under "hajiflauge", under a shirt or jacket ;)

I am also interested in the Balde Tech mag pouches. Any of the dealers carry these before I put in a order to Brownells.
