BladeTech AR Mag pouches with LAR-15 mags???

To answer your original question; I use the injection moulded model from Brownells. They work great! I have taken two of them and attached them to piece of Kydex, put a short belt on it (to wrap around my leg) and another short piece of belt to attach to my pistol belt and used the setup as a drop leg rig. Brownells now sells a very similar product which I have seen and they work great. Canadian Forces Queen’s Medalist and 2009 IPSC Canadian Nationals 3 Gunner George McKillop used one in the Nationals match and it worked out great for him. I tend to stick with what works for the guys in the know.

AR-15/M16 TRIPLE HIP POUCH
Price Range:$74.99 - $74.99 (In Stock)

I use my Hip pouch with 4 magazines. I attach 2 LAR 10 round pistol magazines (with the pull) together with Arredondo magazine couplers (Arredondo makes great stuff). One coupler is just small enough to hold the two short magazine bodies together and still function in the AR. With a double Mag in the rifle as well that gives me a total of 6 possible magazines for each stage in a compact package. I have seen the couplers that attach 2 mags together bottom to bottom but they are slower to use and if you go prone you stand a good chance of contaminating or worse yet, wrecking the feed lips of the bottom mag. I have done a number of drills trying to find the best (quickest) method of reloading the AR platform and have found coupling two mags together with the Arredondo couplers to be the fastest with our 10 round limit. In the US; well they just use a big stick.

AR Mag Yoke / Coupler (2 in a package)
Price: $16.50

Good luck with what ever you choose.

If you are going 3 gun,..use what Moike has mentioned. You can also use the Bladetech AR 15 kydex pouches for the LAR mags to secure them if you go hunting. (if you have a non-restricted rifle which can use the LAR 10rd mags)
