I have two identical double mag pouches for the Glock 17. Both are bladetech kydex pouches.

one fits the magazines perfectly, the other has way too much tension.

Even by adjusting the screw, I can't ease up the tension which lead me to believe maybe the plastic is slightly warped. I did a side-by-side comparison of the two, but couldn't notice any discernible difference.

Any thoughts?

the one that is tight is probably missing the rubber washers that are supposed to go on the adjustment screws on the inside of the holster... if they are not then just get some 1/8th inch rubber and make your own to shim it out, shim it out a little farther then you think and then use the chicago style screws to tighten it up to your desired tightness.

either that or get a heat gun and go slowly and work the mags into the pouch while it is hot to expand the pouches a little.....

I would go rubber washers before heat though...

The rubber plug is still there, but looking more closely at it, its way bigger than the other one. Any chance the eight hours it spent on my hip in the sun the other day caused it to change shape?

or maybe it just got squished down, rubber squishes.... take it out and take it to an industrial hose store and see if they have similar diameter and material hose.... buy a foot of it and cut to length, and stuff it in there.

definatly now you know the rubber is squished fix it, you can even call bladetech and tell them your story and they might just mail you a half dozen rubbers for free, they have excellent customer service.

Big Thanks to Tara at Bladetech. Emailed her yesterday, she's already got some replacement rubber bushings in the mail. :D
